Mr. Koichiro Gemba, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will attend both days of the G8 Foreign Ministers' Meeting to be held in Washington DC on Wednesday, April 11, and Thursday, April 12.
The G8 Foreign Ministers' Meeting is scheduled to discuss pressing regional issues such as Iran, North Korea, the Middle East and Northern Africa, Afghanistan, and Myanmar.
In addition, Minister Gemba will meet with the Honorable Hillary Rodham Clinton, Secretary of State of the United States of America; the Honorable Leon E. Panetta, Secretary of Defense of the United States of America; and the Honorable Ron Kirk, United States Trade Representative, among others.
