- From Saturday, March 24 to Monday, March 26, the Rt. Hon. Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, will make a working visit to Japan. He will be accompanied by the Hon. Beverley J. Oda, Minister of International Cooperation; the Hon. John Baird, Minister of Foreign Affairs; the Hon. Gerry Ritz, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Minister for the Canadian Wheat Board; and the Hon. Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway.
- On Sunday, March 25, Mr. Yoshihiko Noda, Prime Minister of Japan, will hold a Summit Meeting with Prime Minister Harper.
- On the same day Mr. Koichiro Gemba, Minister for Foreign Affairs will hold a Meeting with Minister Baird and Minister Fast.
- It is expected that the visit to Japan by Prime Minister Harper, Minister Baird and others will further deepen the friendly relationship between Japan and Canada.
