- On 14 December, the Fukushima Workshop on the Safety of Products from the Disaster-Affected Area will be held in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. The workshop will be co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Fukushima Prefecture.
- The aim of the workshop, which will be held on the occasion of the Fukushima Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Safety, is to promote the attractiveness and safety of products from the disaster-affected area among the delegation and the members of the media participating in the Conference.
- The workshop will feature presentations by farmers and experts from Fukushima Prefecture, a panel discussion by government officials from Japan and other countries, and the tasting of food and drink from Fukushima Prefecture.

4. Outline of the program
- The purpose of this workshop is to share the latest information concerning food safety in Japan, especially disaster-affected area including Fukushima Prefecture.
- In this workshop, presentations by local farmers and experts, panel discussions by government officials from Japan and other countries on the regulations based upon scientific data are envisaged.
- After the panel discussion, small buffet is offered for all participants and observers to taste the quality of foods and drinks from Fukushima Prefecture.
