Visit to Japan by Mr. Martinelli, President of the Republic of Panama

From Sunday, October 21, to Wednesday, October 24, H.E. Mr. Ricardo Martinelli Berrocal, President of the Republic of Panama, and Mrs. Marta Linares de Martinelli will visit Japan on working visit.
During their stay in Japan, Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan will meet President Martinelli and Mrs. Martinelli. Moreover, Mr. Yoshihiko Noda, the Prime Minister of Japan, is scheduled to hold a meeting with President Martinelli.
President Martinelli’s visit will be the first trip to Japan by the Panamanian President in 17 years. It is expected that the visit will strengthen the economic relationship between Japan and the Republic of Panama and also enhance cooperation between the two countries in international fora.
