Visit to Japan by Mr. Alain Juppé, Minister of State and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the French Republic

On Friday and Saturday, January 13 and 14, H.E. Mr. Alain Juppé, Minister of State and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the French Republic, will visit Japan.
Minister Juppé will hold the First Japan-France Foreign Ministers' Strategic Meeting with Mr. Koichiro Gemba, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on January 13. In the meeting, opinions will be exchanged on a broad range of topics, including cooperation between the two countries on regional and global issues as well as the Japan-France bilateral relationship.

When former-Prime Minister Naoto Kan held a summit meeting with H.E. Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy, President of the French Republic in Paris in May 2011, both sides agreed to hold a strategic meeting between the foreign ministers of the two countries.
