World Cosplay Summit 2011 Participants Visit Sendai and Aizuwakamatsu

  1. Cosplayers who participated in the World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture (the Spanish, Italian and Danish representatives) will visit Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, and Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima Prefecture, from Wednesday, August 10 to Thursday, August 11, as part of activities to support the Tohoku region.

  2. While in Sendai, the group will pay a courtesy call to the city hall, visit an anime specialty store, and mingle with local cosplayers. In Aizuwakamatsu, the group will meet Samurai City Aizu-tai, tourism guides. The group will walk around various sightseeing areas with the guides, and try traditional food and craft making.

  3. In addition to information on the official website of World Cosplay Summit 2011 (http://www.tv-aichi.co.jp/wcs/) chronicling the visit, each cosplayer will work to share their experiences with those in their native countries.
