The 19th Japan-EU Summit Meeting

1. The 19th Japan-EU (European Union) Summit Meeting will be held in Tokyo on 28th April (Wed.).
   
   
2. The meeting will be attended by Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama from the Japanese side, President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Durao Barroso from the EU side, and others.
   
   
3. At the meeting, the leaders of Japan and the EU will exchange views on wide-ranging issues including the political and economic relations and common agendas for Japan and the EU in the international community.
