This is the first time such an invitation has been extended.
- During their stay in Japan, the members of the group will visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visit Tokyo and Kyoto, and expose themselves to the various aspects of Japan including political, economical, social, historical, and cultural aspects. The students also are scheduled to experience the life of high school students in Japan by visiting a high school and living in home-stay environments within Tokyo and the surrounding area.
- It is expected that through this invitation program, the identity of the participants as Japanese American will be deepened. It is also expected that in the future they will promote a range of activities to strengthen Japan-US relations as Japanese American.
