- The third meeting of the Joint Committee on Japan-Brazil Cooperation in Science and Technology will be held on Wednesday, December 15 and Thursday, December 16 at the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil.
- On the Japanese side, Mr. Makoto Yamanaka, Ambassador in Charge of Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will serve as chair, and representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and other relevant organizations will join the delegation. On the Brazilian side, Dr. Sergio Rezende, Minister of Science and Technology, Mr. Hadil da Rocha Vianna, Director of the Department of Scientific and Technological Themes of the Ministry of External Relations, who will be acting as chair, and representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Mines and Energy, and other relevant institutions are included in the delegation.
- The meeting will provide an opportunity for exchanging information about both countries' policies on science and technology, as well as for discussing the current status and future possibilities of the cooperation in this field between the two countries.
