The 3rd ROK-Japan Counter-Terrorism Consultation

- The 3rd ROK-Japan Counter-Terrorism Consultation will be held on July
13, 2009 in Tokyo.
- Mr. Kiyoshi Araki, Ambassador in charge of International Counter-Terrorism
Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs will represent the Japan side while
Mr. Lee Joon-gyu, Ambassador for International Counter-Terrorism will represent
the ROK side.
- At this consultation, Japan and ROK will exchange and share the information
regarding the international and regional terrorism situation. Both
sides will explore the possibility of joint efforts between two countries
for further international counter-terrorism cooperation.
- This Consultation follows the agreement reached at the Japan-ROK Summit meeting between then Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and then President Kim Dae Jung in March 2002.
