Visit to Japan by Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations

  1. Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations, will visit Japan from June 30 (Tue) to July 2 (Thu) upon invitation of the Government of Japan.
     
  2. During his stay in Japan, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon is scheduled to hold meetings with Mr. Taro Aso, Prime Minister, and Mr. Hirofumi Nakasone, Minister for Foreign Affairs.
     
  3. It is hoped that this visit to Japan by Mr. Ban Ki-Moon will further strengthen the cooperative relationship between Japan and the United Nations.

(Reference)  This visit to Japan by Mr. Ban Ki-Moon is his third since his appointment to the position of Secretary-General of the United Nations. (Previously, he visited Japan at the end of June 2008 as official guest, and in July 2008 to attend the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit.)
