Visit to Japan by Mr. Hoshyar Mahmoud Zebari, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq

  1. Mr. Hoshyar Mahmoud Zebari, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, will visit Japan as a Guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from June 17 (Wed) to June 22 (Mon).
     
  2. During his stay, Mr. Zebari will pay a courtesy call on Mr. Taro Aso, Prime Minister of Japan. He is also scheduled to meet with Mr. Hirofumi Nakasone, Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Yasukazu Hamada, Minister of Defense.
     
  3. It is hoped that this visit will further strengthen the strategic partnership relationship between Japan and Iraq, based upon long-term prospects.
