- The third round of negotiations to conclude a Japan-Kazakhstan Agreement
for Cooperation in the Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy will be held in Vienna
on April 2 (Thu) and 3 (Fri).
- This round will be attended from the Japanese side by Mr. Tsutomu Arai,
Director of the International Nuclear Energy Cooperation Division (Head
of the Japanese Delegation), and officials concerned from relevant ministries,
and from the Kazakhstan side by Mr. Timur Zhantikin, Chairman of the Kazakhstan
Atomic Energy Committee (Head of the Kazakhstani Delegation) and officials
concerned.
- In this round, discussions will take place on the contents of the Agreement, which is aimed at promoting cooperation between Japan and Kazakhstan in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
