Visit to Japan of Ms. Meglena Kuneva, European Commissioner (Commissioner for Consumer Affairs)

  1. Ms. Meglena Kuneva, European Commissioner (Commissioner for Consumer Affairs) will visit Japan from December 5 (Sat) to 9 (Wed) as a Senior Official Visit at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
     
  2. During her visit, Commissioner Kuneva will exchange views with Mr. Koichi Takemasa, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, regarding topics such as relations between Japan and the European Union (EU). She will also hold a meeting with Ms. Mizuho Fukushima, Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, and is scheduled to give a speech at the seminar "Consumer Protection: The Role of Public Administration in the EU and Japan" jointly hosted by the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation and the Delegation of the European Union to Japan.
