Visit to Japan by Dr. Francis Gurry, New Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)

  1. Dr. Francis Gurry, new Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), will visit Japan from February 2 (Mon) to 5 (Thu).
     
  2. This is Dr. Gurry’s first visit to Japan since he assumed office.  He is scheduled to have talks with ministers and other government officials, deliver a speech at the Nippon Keidanren (Japan Business Federation), exchange views with the President of the University of Tokyo, and visit business enterprises.
     
  3. It is expected that Dr. Gurry’s visit will further strengthen the cooperative relations between Japan and the WIPO.
