Visit to Japan by Dr. Francis Gurry, New Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)

- Dr. Francis Gurry, new Director General of the World Intellectual Property
Organization (WIPO), will visit Japan from February 2 (Mon) to 5 (Thu).
- This is Dr. Gurry’s first visit to Japan since he assumed office. He
is scheduled to have talks with ministers and other government officials,
deliver a speech at the Nippon Keidanren (Japan Business Federation), exchange
views with the President of the University of Tokyo, and visit business
enterprises.
- It is expected that Dr. Gurry’s visit will further strengthen the cooperative relations between Japan and the WIPO.
