Ambassador Tatsuo Arima, Special Envoy of the Government of Japan for the Middle East, to Visit Middle East Countries

- Amb. Tatsuo Arima, Special Envoy of the Government of Japan
for the Middle East, will visit Egypt, Israel, the Palestinian territories,
and Syria from January 10 (Sat) to 18 (Sun).
- In consideration of the current, worsened situation in the Gaza Strip, Amb. Arima will work on high-level officials of the Governments of the related countries (including officials of the Palestinian Authority), urging the importance of an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian assistance. He will also discuss Japan's humanitarian assistance.
