Visit to Japan by H.E. Mr. Brian Cowen, Prime Minister of Ireland

- H.E. Mr. Brian Cowen, Prime Minister of Ireland, will pay a working
visit to Japan from January 12 (Mon) to 17 (Sat).
- During his stay in Japan, Prime Minister will be received in audience
by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. Mr. Taro Aso, Prime Minister
of Japan will hold a meeting with the Prime Minister. Prime Minister
will also deliver a speech on foreign policy at Keio University.
- The year 2007 marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Ireland. It is expected that this visit will further deepen the relations between the two countries and develop their friendship.
