The 11th Meeting of the Japan-Republic of Korea (ROK) Joint Committee on Environmental Cooperation

  1. On June 20 (Fri), the 11th Meeting of the Japan-ROK Joint Committee on  Environmental Cooperation will be held in Tokyo.
     
  2. The Committee is a framework to enable comprehensive discussions about the two countries’ environmental policies and cooperation.  The meeting will be attended by, from the Japanese side, Mr. Kazuhide Ishikawa, Deputy Director-General, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; from the ROK side, Mr. Kwon Hae-ryong, Deputy Director-General, International Economic Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as the chief delegate; and other relevant officials from both sides.  
     
  3. At the meeting, there will be discussions on such global environmental issues as climate change, environmental cooperation in North East Asia, and other matters.
