Visit to Japan by the Delegation of Mr. Naseer Al-Ani, Head of Presidential Council of the Republic of Iraq

- From June 4 (Wed) to 12 (Thu), the delegation of Mr. Naseer Al-Ani,
Head of the Presidential Council of the Republic of Iraq, will visit Japan
by invitation of the Japanese Government.
- During his stay, Mr. Al-Ani will exchange views with Mr. Nobutaka Machimura,
Chief Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Masahiko Koumura, Minister for Foreign Affairs,
Mr. Akira Amari, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, and those from
political and business circles. He will also meet with experts to
deepen knowledge on Japanese political and administrative structures and
in the post-war reconstruction history. The delegation will also visit
Shizuoka, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Aichi Prefectures where they will exchange
views with representatives of local governments and universities and also
visit factories and electric power stations.
- It is expected that this visit will give an opportunity for Iraqi to deepen their knowledge on Japanese system and Japan-Iraq relations further promoted.
