The 11th ASEAN+3 Directors-General Meeting

1. On May 30 (Fri), Japan will host the 11th ASEAN+3 Directors-General Meeting at the Kyoto International Conference Center with Mr. Akitaka Saiki, Director-General of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as Chairman.
    
2. The ASEAN+3 Directors-General Meeting is held in spring and autumn every year, with the spring Meeting being hosted by Japan, China and the Republic of Korea in turn.  Japan will be the host this year.
    
3. Directors-Generals and other officials from ten ASEAN member countries plus China and the ROK will attend the upcoming Meeting and discuss the follow-up of the ASEAN+3 Summit held in November last year, especially how to implement the Second Joint Statement on East Asia Cooperation adopted at that Meeting.
