The 17th Japan-EU Summit Meeting

- The 17th Japan-EU(European Union) Summit Meeting will be held in Tokyo
on April 23(Wed).
- The meeting will be attended on the Japanese side by Prime Minister
Yasuo Fukuda and other officials, and on the EU side by Prime Minister Janez
Jansa of the Republic of Slovenia, the head of Presidency of the EU, Mr.
Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, President of the European Commission and others.
- At the meeting, the leaders of Japan and the EU, as partners sharing fundamental values, will exchange views on wide-ranging issues including the political and economic relations and common agendas for Japan and the EU in the international community.
