Mr. Masakatsu Koike, Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, to Attend the 4th Global Congress on Combating Counterfeiting and Piracy

1. Mr. Masakatsu Koike, Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit the United Arab Emirates from February 2 (Sat) to 4 (Mon).
    
2. Mr. Koike will attend the Fourth Global Congress on Combating Counterfeiting and Piracy to be held on February 3 (Sun) in Dubai hosted by the World Customs Organization and the Dubai Customs to make a keynote speech on how Japan tackles the problem of counterfeiting and piracy.
    
3. It is expected that Mr. Koike’s attendance at the Congress will demonstrate to the international community that Japan is highly concerned about the problem of counterfeiting and piracy, thus leading to aroused international opinion toward combating counterfeiting and piracy.
