- The 2nd Meeting of Japan-Thailand Joint Task Force on Counter Trafficking
in Persons (JT-CTP) will take place on September 25 (Tue) at the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs.
- The Meeting will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Masatoshi Shimbo,
Deputy Director-General, Foreign Policy Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
as chair, and related officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cabinet
Secrzetariat, Cabinet Office, National Police Agency, Ministry of Justice
and Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, which comprise an Inter-Ministerial
Liaison Committee on Counter Trafficking in Persons; and on the Thai side
by Mr. Sompong Sanguanbun, Deputy Director-General, Department of East Asian
Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as head of delegation, and other officials
concerned from related ministries.
- At the Meeting, there will be a discussion on strengthening Japan-Thai cooperation for the prevention of human trafficking, law enforcement and the protection of victims of human trafficking.
