Mr. Nobutaka Machimura, Minister for Foreign Affairs, to Attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ministerial Meeting

- Mr. Nobutaka Machimura, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit Sydney,
Australia, from September 4 (Tue) to attend the 19th Asia-Pacific Economic
Cooperation (APEC) Ministerial Meeting, which will be held on September
5 (Wed) and 6 (Thu) in Sydney.
- At the APEC Ministerial Meeting, Mr. Machimura will exchange views with
participating ministers on such issues as “WTO (World Trade Organization),”
“Regional Economic Integration,” and “Structural Reforms.”
- Mr. Machimura will also exchange views with some of the participating
ministers on bilateral relations and other issues.
- Taking part in the APEC Ministerial Meeting will be foreign ministers and others from the 21 APEC economies (Australia; Brunei; Canada; Chile; the People’s Republic of China; Hong Kong, China; Indonesia; Japan; the Republic of Korea; Malaysia; Mexico; New Zealand; Papua New Guinea; Peru; the Philippines; the Russian Federation; Singapore; Chinese Taipei; Thailand; the United States of America; and Viet Nam).
