Mr. Masayoshi Hamada, Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, to Visit Singapore

- Mr. Masayoshi Hamada, Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit
Singapore on August 22 (Wed) and 23 (Thu).
- In Singapore, Mr. Hamada will attend the 1st East Asia Summit (EAS)
Energy Ministers’ Meeting with Mr. Akira Amari, Minister of Economy, Trade
and Industry, and discuss issues related to future energy security in East
Asia.
- Mr. Hamada will visit the Information Sharing Centre (ISC) established under the Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia (ReCAAP) and a local petrochemical plant. He will also exchange views with high officials of the Government of Singapore.
