The 10th Meeting of the Japan-Republic of Korea (ROK) Joint Committee on Cooperation in Environmental Protection

- On July 13 (Fri), the 10th Meeting of the Japan-ROK Joint Committee on Cooperation in Environmental Protection will be held in Seoul.
- The Committee is a framework to enable comprehensive discussion about the two countries’ environmental policies and their cooperation in this field. The meeting will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Junichi Ihara, Deputy Director-General of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and on the ROK side by Mr. Kim Chan-Woo, Senior Coordinator, International Economic Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as chief delegates, and other relevant officials.
- At the meeting, there will be discussion on global environmental issues, cooperation in environmental protection in North East Asia, the two countries’ environmental policies and other matters.
