The Third East Asia Summit (EAS) Energy Cooperation Task Force (ECTF) Meeting

  1. The Third East Asia Summit (EAS) Energy Cooperation Task Force (ECTF) Meeting will be held on June 19 (Tue) and 20 (Wed) in Tokyo.  The Meeting will be attended by Japanese officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and those in charge of each country’s energy policy from the EAS participants.

  2. The Third Meeting will follow the First in Singapore and the Second in Oakland, both held last March, and will feature a wide-ranging discussion on concrete measures to enhance energy security in the East Asia region.

  3. Taking this opportunity, Japan will hold an EAS Energy Efficiency and Conservation Conference which aims at sharing Japan’s experience in energy efficiency and conservation.
