- The Sixth Meeting of the New Japan-China Friendship Committee for the 21st Century will be held on June 9 (Sat) and 10 (Sun) in Kosakamachi, Akita Prefecture.
- The meeting will be attended on the Japanese side by the committee headed by Mr. Yotaro Kobayashi, Chairman of the Board of Fuji Xerox; and the Chinese side by the committee headed by Mr. Zheng Bijian, former Executive Vice President of the Central Party School.
- It is expected that the experts from Japan and China will engage in frank and active discussion on Japan-China relations in the 21st century and the expansion of areas of advantage common to both countries.
