The Eighth Japan-China Consultations concerning the East China Sea and Other Matters

(1) The Eighth Japan-China Consultations concerning the East China Sea and Other Matters will be held on May 25th (Fri) in Beijing.

(2) The Consultations will be attended on the Japanese side by Mr. Kenichiro Sasae, Director-General, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Harufumi Mochizuki, Director General, Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, and other officials concerned; and on the Chinese side by Mr. Hu Zhengyue, Director-General, Department of Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other officials.

(3) At the Consultations, the participants will discuss the development of natural resources in the East China Sea and other matters.

Also after the Consultations on May 25th (Fri), there will be Consultations between Mr. Sasae and Mr. Hu on Japan-China relations in general.
