Japan-R.O.K. Director-General Level Consultation on Middle East and African Policies

  1. A Japan-R.O.K. Director-General Level Consultation on Middle East and African Policies will be held on May 11 (Fri) in Tokyo.
  2. The consultation will be attended, on the Japanese side, by Mr. Norihiro Okuda, Director-General of the Middle Eastern and African Bureau, and Mr. Shuichiro Megata, Director-General for Sub-Saharan African Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and on the R.O.K side, Mr. Ma Young-sam, Director-General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea.
  3. 3.  The purpose of this consultation is to exchange views on the policies on various issues of the Middle Eastern region including Iraq, Iran, and the Middle East peace process, as well as Africa.  It will be held as part of wide-ranging policy dialogues between Japan and the R.O.K.
