Senior Official-Level Meeting on Human Security

1.   A Senior Official-Level Meeting on Human Security will be held on March 23 (Fri) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2.   The meeting will be attended by representatives from countries which have interest in human security, international organizations which implement human security, and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Peace Cooperation Headquarters of the Cabinet Office.

3.   Taking up concrete examples of international efforts at contributing to human security in countries and regions, the forthcoming meeting is intended to discuss such matters as the effectiveness of assistance from the perspective of human security at times of emergency during or immediately after conflict and at transitional periods from humanitarian assistance to development, and to deepen countries’ understanding of human security.
