- In African countries, "Sustainable Development" still remains as a distant goal and the serious environmental problems accompanying development have been obstacles to poverty reduction. For sustainable development, it is indispensable for economic development and environmental protection to coexist. This meeting will focus on the environment and energy agenda, which is important to African development including poverty reduction, and will discuss measures that will be made in an integrated manner over the issues of energy and environment.
