Symposium "Toward Stabilization of Timor-Leste: UN Peacebuilding Activities and Japan's Role"

1. On March 5, the Government of Timor-Leste informed the Government of Japan that H.E. Mr. Xanana Gusmao, President of Timor-Leste, who was scheduled to participate in this symposium as a keynote speaker, would have to cancel his visit to Japan due to the current situation in Timor-Leste.
2. The symposium will be held on March 14 as scheduled (organized by the Japan Institute of International Affairs, and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
