Visit to Japan by Mr. Li Zhaoxing, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China

  1. Mr. Li Zhaoxing, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, will visit Japan from February 15 (Thu) to 17 (Sat) as Guest of the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
  2. During his stay in Japan, Mr. Li will have a foreign ministerial meeting with Mr. Taro Aso, Minister for Foreign Affairs, pay courtesy calls on other leading governmental figures, and have exchanges with political parties and others.
  3. At the ministerial meeting, views will be exchanged on the present situation and perspective of Japan-China relations and the two countries' cooperation on various international issues to embody the establishment of the "mutually beneficial relationship based on common strategic interests" which was agreed at the Japan-China summit talks last October.
