Event to Talk about the ODA at the "One World Festival"

  1. On February 3 (Sat) and 4 (Sun), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will participate in an international collaborative event, the "One World Festival" (organised by the "One World Festival" Planning & Communications Secretariat) to be held at the Osaka International House Foundation. The Ministry will involve in the following programs as well as sponsor consultations corners for NGOs (non-governmental organizations).

    February 3 (Sat) 14:00-15:00 Seminar by FY2006 ODA Private-Sector Monitors to China, Mongolia and Morocco
    17:00-18:30 Briefing Session on the programs to support NGOs/NPOs activities offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, JICA, JBIC
    February 4 (Sun) 12:30-13:30 Seminar by FY2006 ODA Private-Sector Monitors to Sri Lanka, Philippines and Bangladesh
    14:00-16:00 Symposium Theme: "What Can We Do to Eliminate Poverty?"

  2. The "One World Festival" has been held every year since 1993 with the cooperation of NGOs which are mainly engaged in international cooperation in the Kansai area, local autonomous bodies and companies, with an aim to strengthen partnership among NGOs and other sectors. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has participated in the festival since FY1998.
