4th Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies

From November 15 (Thu) to 17 (Sat), the fourth Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies will be held in Bamako, Mali, with a priory focus on “Democracy and Development.” Ambassador Tatsuo Arima, Special Envoy of the Government of Japan, will attend the Conference on behalf of the Government of Japan.
At the meeting, Japan will report its undertakings for cooperations and measures in the field of democratization, and exchange views on how best to help democratization process through international cooperation.
It is expected that Japan’s participation in the meeting will further promote the understanding of the participating countries on Japan’s assistance policy and contribution in the fields of democracy and development.
