The Fifth Tokyo Workshop on ODA Evaluation

- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will host the Fifth Tokyo Workshop on ODA Evaluation on January 26 (Thu) and 27 (Fri) at Mita House.
- Participants of the Workshop will be Japanese persons concerned with ODA, and also representatives from 18 Asian partner countries, 12 development-related international organizations and other donor countries.
- The Ministry has held the Workshop annually from FY2001, inviting Asian aid recipient countries and international and other organizations with the aim of enhancing the effectiveness of Japan's ODA, through deepening shared recognition of ODA evaluation in Asian partner countries, the area on which Japan places importance, and also through accelerating capacity development in evaluation in these states (FY2004 Workshop was held in Thailand).
- The Fifth Workshop seeks to reinforce monitoring and evaluation system of partner countries focusing on Management for Development Results in particular. It is based on recent trend where the Result Based Management is becoming a global agenda in evaluation.
