Visit to Japan by Mr. James Morris, Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP)

- Mr. James Morris, Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), will visit Japan from October 24 (Mon) to 26 (Wed).
- During his stay, Mr. Morris will exchange wide-ranging views on such issues as food aid policy aimed at cutting starvation in half by 2015, set as one of the Millennium Development Goals. He will also exchange views with advisors and others of the Japan Association for the United Nations WFP, a private entity to support WFP operations, and will carry out publicity activities through the media and other means.
- It is expected that Mr. Morris' visit will further enhance the cooperative relations between Japan and the WFP to promote human security.
