Mr. Nobutaka Machimura, Minister for Foreign Affairs, to Visit Indonesia and Thailand

1. Mr. Nobutaka Machimura, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit Indonesia and Thailand from January 5 (Wed) to 9 (Sun).
   
   
2. In Indonesia, Foreign Minister Machimura will attend with Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi the Special ASEAN Leaders' Meeting on Aftermath of Earthquake and Tsunami to exchange views on bilateral relations and the regional situation, including the recent disasters, with leading figures of the Government of Indonesia.
   
   
3. In Thailand, Foreign Minister Machimura will visit tsunami-afflicted Phuket and will also exchange views on bilateral relations and the regional situation, including the recent disasters, with leading figures of the Government of Thailand.
