The Second "Economy and Society" Working Group of the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC)

  1. The Second "Economy and Society" Working Group meeting of the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) will be held on March 17 (Mon) and 18 (Tue) at Mita Kaigisho, Tokyo.

  2. Experts in economic and social areas or representatives from 15 Latin American countries and 15 East Asian countries will participate in the meeting.

  3. The working group will analyze issues common to both East Asian and Latin American countries in the economic and social fields and discuss how the two regions can strengthen their relationship for the future.

  4. The outcome of this meeting along with that of the discussions of the First Working Group held in March last year in Tokyo will be compiled into a final report, including specific policy-oriented proposals, and will be presented at the Senior Officials Meeting V (SOM5) and the Second Ministerial Meeting to be held this year.
