Visit to Japan of His Excellency Mr. Ricardo Lagos Escobar, President of the Republic of Chile

    His Excellency Mr. Ricardo Lagos Escobar, President of the Republic of Chile, accompanied by a suite, will pay an official working visit to Japan from February 12 to February 15, 2003.
    During their stay in Japan, the President will hold a meeting with Mr. Junichiro Koizumi, Prime Minister of Japan.
    The Prime Minister will host a dinner in honor of President Lagos.
    The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of President Lagos, which will further strengthen the friendly relations existing between Japan and the Republic of Chile.

February 12 (Wed)	Morning	Arrival at Tokyo International Airport (Haneda)
February 13 (Thu)	Morning	Call on the Speaker of the House of Representatives Call on the President of the House of Councilors Call at the Imperial Palace
February 13 (Thu)	Afternoon	Court Luncheon
February 14 (Fri)	Morning	Call by the President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency
February 14 (Fri)	Afternoon	Call by the Former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori
February 15 (Sat)		Departure from Tokyo International Airport (Haneda)

* The dates of the meeting with Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and the dinner hosted by the Prime Minister are yet to be decided.
