Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi to Attend ASEAN + 3 (Japan, China and the Republic of Korea) Summit, Japan-ASEAN Summit and Trilateral Meeting of the Leaders of Japan, China and the R.O.K.

- Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi will visit Cambodia from November 3 (Sun) to November 5 (Tue) to attend the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) +3 (Japan, China and the R.O.K.) Summit, the Japan-ASEAN Summit and the Trilateral Meeting of the Leaders of Japan, China and the R.O.K.
- In Cambodia, Mr. Koizumi will take part in the ASEAN+3 (Japan, China and the R.O.K.) Summit and exchange views on the development of regional cooperation in East Asia.
He will also attend the Japan-ASEAN Summit to discuss the deepening of Japan-ASEAN cooperation including the Initiative for Japan-ASEAN Comprehensive Economic Partnership and the "ASEAN-Japan Exchange Year 2003".
Mr. Koizumi will also participate in the Trilateral Meeting of the Leaders of Japan, China and the R.O.K. to exchange views on the review and the prospects of the cooperation among Japan, China and the R.O.K., economic situation in each country, and other issues.
- During his stay in Cambodia, Mr. Koizumi will have summit talks with Prime Minister of Myanmar Senior General Than Shwe, and Mr. Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia.
