Visit to Japan by His Excellency Mr. Vicente Fox Quesada, President of the United Mexican States (Announcement by the Press Secretary/Director-General for Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

   His Excellency Mr. Vicente Fox Quesada, President of the United Mexican States, accompanied by a suite, will pay an official working visit to Japan from 5 to 6 June 2001.
   During his stay in Japan, President Fox will make a state call on His Majesty The Emperor of Japan.
   His Majesty The Emperor will host a Court Luncheon in honor of the President.
   President Fox will also meet Mr. Junichiro Koizumi, Prime Minister of Japan.
   Prime Minister Koizumi will host a dinner in honor of the President.
   The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of President Fox, which will further strengthen the friendly relations existing between Japan and the United Mexican States.
