Visit to Japan of His Excellency Mr. Putin, Vladimir Vladimirovich, President of the Russian Federation, and Mrs. Putin (Announcement by the Press Secretary/Director-General for Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

His Excellency Mr. Putin, Vladimir Vladimirovich, President of the Russian Federation, accompanied by a suite, will pay an Official Working Visit to Japan from September 3 to 5, 2000.

During their stay in Japan, the President and Mrs. Putin will make a state call on Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan.

Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress will host a Court Luncheon in honor of the President and Mrs. Putin.

The President will also hold a meeting with Mr. Yoshiro Mori, Prime Minister of Japan.

The Prime Minister and Mrs. Yoshiro Mori will host a Dinner in honor of the President and Mrs. Putin.

The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the President and Mrs. Putin, which will further strengthen the friendly relations existing between Japan and the Russian Federation.

September 4 (Mon)	Morning	State Call Court Luncheon
September 5 (Tue)	Evening	Departure from Japan

*The date of the Meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan and Dinner hosted by Prime Minister of Japan and Mrs. Yoshiro Mori is yet to be decided.
