Visit to Japan of His Excellency the Prime Minister of the French Republic, and Mrs. Lionel Jospin (Announcement by the Press Secretary/Director-General for Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

His Excellency Mr. Lionel Jospin, Prime Minister of the French Republic, and Mrs. Jospin, accompanied by a suite (Ministers), will pay an Official Working Visit to Japan from December 16 to 18, 1999.
   During their stay in Japan, the Prime Minister and Mrs. Jospin will be received in audience by Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan.
   The Prime Minister will also hold a meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan Keizo Obuchi.
   The Prime Minister of Japan and Mrs. Obuchi will host a Dinner in honor of the Prime Minister and Mrs. Jospin.
   The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the Prime Minister and Mrs. Jospin, which will further strengthen the friendly relations existing between Japan and the French Republic.
