Foreign Minister Keizo Obuchi to Attend Meeting of G8 Foreign Ministers on India and Pakistan

June 10, 1998

1. Mr. Keizo Obuchi, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit the United Kingdom from June 11 (Thu.) to attend the Meeting of G8 Foreign Ministers on India and Pakistan to be held in London on June 12 (Fri.).

2. At the forthcoming meeting, taking into account the recent nuclear tests conducted by India and Pakistan, there will be discussions on the issues of the nuclear proliferation system, the regional situation in South Asia and other matters.
