Visit to Japan by Mr. Natsagiin Bagabandi, President of Mongolia

- President Natsagiin Bagabandi of Mongalia, accompanied by Mrs. Bagabandi and a suite, will pay an official visit to Japan from May 11 (Mon) to 15 (Fri) at the invitation of the Japanese Government.
- During his stay in Japan, President Bagabandi will be received by Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan. He is also scheduled to meet with leading figures from the Government of Japan and economic circles.
- Mr. Bagabandi was elected as the second Mongolian President in the presidential election held in May last year. This is the first official visit to Japan by a President of Mongolia except for such occasions as attending the Ceremonies of the Accession to the Throne of His Majesty The Emperor and a stopover.
This is President Bagabandi's second visit to Japan. The first was in 1994; at the invitation of the President of the House of Councilors of Japan, he visited as then Speaker of the State Great Khural Parliament of Mongolia, accompanied by Mrs. Bagabandi.
