International Symposium on Effective Disaster Response
- Japan's Experience & Global Efforts -

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is pleased to inform you that MOFA will organize a symposium on September 17th, with the title of "Effective Disaster Response -- Japan's Experience & Global Efforts --".
In recent years, there have been various large-scale natural disasters in many parts of the world, such as Haiti Earthquake and Floods in Pakistan in 2010, Indonesia Earthquake in 2009, China Earthquake and Myanmar Cyclone in 2008. In order to respond to those large-scale natural disasters, it is important to undertake seamless actions for emergency relief just after the disaster, rehabilitation and reconstruction, and disaster preventions to minimize the damage. With these recognitions, the purpose of this symposium is to provide an opportunity to share knowledge and exchange opinions about key roles and experiences of United Nations and each countries, Japan's experience and cooperation, and challenges for the future. We look forward to receiving your registration.
