Visit to Japan of Dr. Helmut Kohl, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany

1. Dr. Helmut Kohl, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, will visit Japan from October 31 (Thu.) to November 2 (Sat.).
   
   
2. During his stay in Japan, the Chancellor will be received (in audience) by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.
   He will also meet with the Prime Minister of Japan to exchange views on bilateral relations as well as on the international situation.
   
   
3. Dr. Kohl made two official visits to Japan in 1983 and 1993 as the Chancellor, and this is his sixth visit to Japan.
