Visit to Japan of The Hon. Jenny Shipley, Prime Minister of New Zealand, and Mr. Shipley

The Hon. Jenny Shipley, Prime Minister of New Zealand, and Mr.Shipley accompanied by a suite, will pay an official visit to Japan from March 8 to 11, 1998. During their stay in Japan, the Prime Minister and Mr.Shipley will be received in audience by Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan. Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress will host a Court Luncheon in honor of the Prime Minister and Mr. Shipley. The Prime Minister will have official talks with the Prime Minister of Japan. The Prime Minister of Japan and Mrs. Hashimoto will host a Dinner in honor of the Prime Minister and Mr. Shipley. The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the Prime Minister and Mr. Shipley, which will further strengthen the friendly relations existing between Japan and New Zealand.
